Annual Social Gala

December 9, 2022

Guelph, Ontario - GDAR hosted over 170 REALTORS® and guests for a "Winter Wonderland" gala at the Delta Hotel Guelph Conference Centre on Friday, December 9th, 2022. This was the first annual social gala held by the organization since 2019.

Check out a full gallery of the evening and the fun videos in the 2022 Gala Gallery below.

The evening started with a cocktail reception amidst a spectacular winter ambiance featuring charcuterie boards, live music from local artists D’Eve Archer and Dave Huber, and an ice luge for the signature cocktail of the night ". Guests were greeted at reception by our wonderful gala task force volunteers as they entered.

A delicious four-course dinner featuring a selection of prime rib or chicken supreme was provided by the Delta. Everyone was treated to white hot chocolate bombs and rock candy icicles sourced from local vendors Sweet Temptations (Guelph) and I Love Chocolate (Fergus) as a delicious takeaway to remember the night by.

The newly installed 2022-2023 President, Tyson Hisnchberger, and Immediate Past President, Dustin Davis, welcomed guests with an interactive group game. Guests played along at their tables for a chance to win the beautiful centerpieces created just for this event by the task force volunteers.

After dinner, a hilarious "TikTok" dance competition took place. Each table nominated one person to represent their table, who then had to follow three dance challenges. The stakes were high as the winner would be presented with $100 LCBO gift cards for each person at their table and the runner-up also won $50 Tim's cards. A surprise dancer stole the show during the final competition with his awesome showcase of breakdancing moves!

The evening continued with a live band “Your New Neighbours” whose lively style had everyone on the dance floor. Those taking a break from the dancing had a great time networking with colleagues, and hamming it up in the 3D Video booth.

A big thank you goes out to our 2022 partners who help make events like these possible through their generous sponsorship:
