To join the Guelph & District Association of REALTORS® and access our many member benefits, you must first be registered as a salesperson or broker with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and eligible to Trade in Real Estate.

Note: You must be 18+ years of age, a resident of Canada, and meet all of the requirements for registration under the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 (REBBA 2002) in order to become a registered salesperson or broker in Ontario.

Get Licensed
Complete the Education Requirements
The Pre-Registration Learning Path is the first phase of RECO’s Real Estate Education Programs offered by Humber College. Learners must complete this first phase before applying for registration with RECO. The path consists of 5 courses, 2 simiulated sessions and 4 exams (approx. 220 hours) which must be completed within 24 months.

Register with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO)
To join the Guelph & District Association of REALTORS® and access our many great member benefits, you must first be registered as a salesperson with the Real Estate Council of Ontario and eligible to Trade in Real Estate. In order to do so, you will also need to find a brokerage employer.
Step 2:
Join Organized Real Estate
Submit Membership Applications to:
Once you've completed your pre-registration education requirements, found a brokerage, and successfully registered with RECO, you can then apply to become a Member of the Guelph & District Association of REALTORS®.

To begin the process of becoming a member, you will need to submit a completed membership application to our Membership department. Once received, you will be sent an invoice for your initiation fees and first quarter of membership dues which you can pay online. Your membership initiation fees may vary based on whether you are current or past member of any other real estate boards or associations in Ontario. After payment is received, you will be sent a welcome package with your MLS® System login information and more.

New members must attend GDAR's orientation within the first few months of joining, regardless of whether they have previously been a member of another board. We also provide ongoing professional development classes to help our members grow throughout every stage of their real estate career.

Please note: if your Brokerage is not an existing Member of GDAR, you will also need to submit a New Brokerage Application. Please contact our membership department for assistance.
Register Your Unlicensed Brokerage Administrator
or REALTOR® Assistant
REALTORS® with one or more assistants, or brokerages with administrative staff may obtain unique credentials for their employee(s) to log into the MLS® System by submitting an application for Authorized User Access. Any individual working in this capacity on behalf of a GDAR Member cannot hold an license to Trade Real Estate or be an appraiser.
